FAQ

Who is the program for?
Individuals who are serious in pursuing a career in the Electrical field as a Journeyman Electrician and are willing to make a four year commitment to attend and pass the educational requirements.  They must also be able to fulfill the financial obligation.
 
How much will it cost?
The tuition cost is $2,600 per year which includes all books and lab fees.
 
Where and when is class held?
Classroom training is held at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center in Brecksville, OH.  The classroom training is weekly for 4 hours on one weeknight and closely follows a traditional school year from September to about May.

Will NOECA(Northern Ohio Electrical Contractor’s Association)/IEC give me a job?
NOECA/IEC is not an employer.  We are an Electrical Contractors Association organization.  Although several licensed electrical contractors are members of NOECA/IEC and we will do our best to place trainees with one of them, employment is not guaranteed.
 
Can I get a State of Ohio Electrical Contractors License through NOECA/IEC?
No, however the education and training received from the training program will prepare you to take the test and work as a Journeyman Electrician.  Only the State of Ohio can administer this test.
